Pattern Drafting Basics
Limited Capacity seats available

This presentation will cover some basic techniques used in Pattern Drafting. Participants will work with 1/2 scale patterns to learn dart manipulation techniques. We will discuss how to move darts in order to create a variety of designs using "slash and spread" methods. Additionally, we will discuss the benefits of bringing these techniques into the classroom. This is a hands-on workshop, please bring pencil, ruler, paper, scissors and tape.

Trendy & fun come and learn sewing tips and ideas for sewing with knits. It’s the future! We’ll practice on samples or a simple t-shirt to learn how to do neck bonds, seams and hems. Also see some of the new knit fabrics that are popular such as scuba, ITY and Ponte.

Teachers bring these sewing supplies: Pins, Measuring tape, tape, seam ripper, scissors, ruler, pencil.
